While considerable attention in the UK has focused on its post-Brexit prospects, much less thought has been given to developments in the rest of the EU – which may prove vitally relevant both to the outcome of the Brexit negotiations and the future of Europe. This event will address these key challenges and opportunities facing the EU27, including:
– After a difficult decade, is the EU starting to rebound or do internal and external challenges still threaten its future?
– In the light of the German election results, will we now see a multi-speed Europe with France and Germany at its core?
– With the UK heading for the exit, how important is Brexit to the EU27 – and will the UK influence where the EU goes next?
Co-organised with Brodies LLP
The Scottish Centre on European Relations is an independent EU think tank based in Edinburgh
